Join artist Lindsay Viner in this mindful stitching workshop. Take inspiration from William Morris’s designs as you learn the art of sewing slowly and unwind with needle and thread.

Slow Stitching: Discover mindfulness through making. Nourish your creativity and your soul making sustainable intuitive hand sewn pieces, using reclaimed, recycled and salvaged textiles. Quiet your mind, become immersed in your stitches, create without judgement, allow yourself to relax, slow down and find a little respite from our busy lives.

Free, all ages and abilities welcome- from complete beginners to seasoned sewers wishing explore a new way of working. Drop-in between 11am-4pm.

Artist Biography

Lindsay is a visual artist living and working in Oxfordshire. Lindsay studied at the University of Bristol and following an MA in Shakespeare and Literature has had a varied career across the arts, including performing and visual arts, working with community groups and projects and in venues. Her practice is now focused on the visual arts and transitions contemporary craft and art.

Lindsay is passionate about encouraging others’ creativity and has been working as a workshop leader for over 10 years, this work has led to a deep interest in how art and crafts can benefit our mental health. She regularly works as an artist for Shine PND Support and sells a range of craft kits that focus of finding mindfulness through making.
