Kelmscott Today

Kelmscott Manor is owned and operated by The Society of Antiquaries of London, an educational charity that promotes the understanding of the human past with its headquarters in Piccadilly, London.

Today the manor is the most preserved of all the buildings associated with William Morris and his family with much of the buildings and surrounding countryside still as it was when Morris lived here.

Through displaying the unique collection, activities, special exhibitions, educational and community engagement our goal is to allow our visitors to experience and respond to Kelmscott in the same way that William Morris did during his quarter of a century of living here, preserving the tranquil domestic and rural character of the property, and highlighting the artistic, archaeological, and natural sources of inspiration for Morris and others.
