Gift Aid

Our Manor is over 400 years old and needs constant attention.

Gift Aid is a Government scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax from donations, which means that for every £1 donated, we can claim an additional 25p. As a charity we can treat your admission charge as a donation, allowing you to Gift Aid and help conserve this historic site.

You are eligible to Gift Aid if…

  • Tax is taken from your wages or pension before you receive them.
  • You have to fill in a self-assessment form for tax purposes.
  • You have taxable savings (in a building society, for instance), or a pension plan or investment income.
  • You have recently paid capital gains tax, or expect to pay it in the near future. This could be on the sale of a property or some shares, for example.

Gift Aid Donors are asked for their name and address on purchase of an admission ticket. This information is held electronically and is used only for Gift Aid declarations and auditing purposes. We never pass on visitor details to third parties and all data is kept secure.

Thank you for your support.
